Patagonia Drift, founded by guide Mauro Ochoa, is based in the mountain resort village of Bariloche, in Northern Patagonia, Argentina.
The location is unique with its combination of an international airport and convenient access to breathtaking landscapes and world-class fly-fishing adventures. The opportunity to catch a trophy fish on a fly in such a dazzling environment attracts anglers from all over the world, from experts to first-time fly casters.
Bariloche, located on the shores of a sparkling glacial lake, Nahuel Huapi, is surrounded by the Andes Mountains. A ski town in the winter, Bariloche boasts many lodging and dining options for budgets of all types.
Patagonia Drift provides a range of guided fly-fishing trips to meet the varying needs of our clients, from full or half day trips, to lodge-based trips, to multi-day expeditions with riverside camping. Apart from the half-day trip, all of our guided trips are highlighted by delicious, riverside meals featuring legendary Argentine beef, cheese, and red wine.
In addition to the guided trips, Patagonia Drift offers casting instruction for conventional, one-handed rods and two-handed Spey rods. Learn from a master! Mauro is the winner of the 2018 Patagonia Spey Casting Tournament.
